Police say that a woman in her 50's died last night after being pulled from the sea off the Teignmouth coast.
Members of the public pulled her from the water after reports that she got into trouble.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 8 o'clock and despite attempts by ambulance crews to save her, she died at the scene.
