Heavy lifting gear from Middlemoor attends Umberleigh incident
Help was needed from a number of locations across the county after reports that a car had collided with a tractor in North Devon on Monday evening.
It turned out not to be quite like that; although a woman was trapped in a car in a single-vehicle accident in which she'd hit a stone wall. She needed to be released with the help of hydraulic cutting equipment.
Fire crews from South Molton and Barnstaple were joined by a heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor and an operational assurance officer at the Umberleigh Bridge to Blakewell Cross road at around 6.30pm.
There's no news of the extent of any injuries the woman has suffered.
