A ceremony takes place today to mark the start of work on Exmouth's new five million pound seafront hotel.
The Premier Inn is being built on the site of the old Elizabeth Hall, which was controversially sold to the hotel company and then demolished.
Local councillors and representatives from the hotel company will officially 'break the ground' this morning.
They say the hotel will be a great asset to the town and its visitor trade.
