Women arrested
A young girl and a women have died after being hit by a car in Plymouth.
It happened around 9.45am on Sunday 24 March on Victoria Road, St Budeaux.
Both victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance but couldn't be saved. Their next of kin have been informed.
A 74-year-old woman from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
She remains in police custody at this time and investigations continue.
