Full time car mechanic Exeter
Job title: Full-time Mechanic
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (depends on experience)
Hours: 40 hours p/w (08:30 - 17:30, with lunch and breaks)
Drivers Choice Exeter is a car and light commercial vehicle servicing and repairs company offering diagnostics and welding services.
They are looking to hire a skilled mechanic with an NVQ level 3 in Car and Light Commercial Maintenance and Repair or someone with equivalent qualifications or experience. While having MOT testing licenses is important, it is not necessary for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of a mechanical workshop, including the ability to service and maintain vehicles and good communication skills.
Additionally, proficiency in using computer and garage software systems is necessary.
The candidate must possess a full driving license.
Responsibilities 📋
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Conduct inspections and identify potential problems
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand and power tools
- Test equipment functionality and ensure proper operation
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
