Exeter and Plymouth both at home
Two Devon sides start off their Carabao Cup 2023/24 campaigns at home.
Exeter City take on Crawley Town and Plymouth Argyle take on Layton Orient. The bookies say that the two Devon sides are the favourites to win their matches.
Both teams started their season off with a win a few days ago and come into their match with confidence to secure their spot in the second round.
Last year, Exeter progressed to the second round after thrashing Cheltenham 7-0 but then losing to Gillingham on penalties. In contrast, Plymouth couldn’t get past Peterborough in the first round after a 2-0 defeat.
There will be no replays if the games end in a draw. It will go straight to penalties to determine the winner.
