Latest figures show that fewer people are now living rough on the streets of Exeter - and reports of anti-social behaviour are down.
The Exeter Street Attachment Group has been working to get people into accommodation and help them get the support they need..
Last year there were 70 people living rough in the city - the street attachment group says now that number is down by nearly half.
The group was set up earlier this year and involves local councils, businesses, charities and voluntary organisations.
Its chair, the police Superintendent Sam de Reya, says they recognise the complexity of the problem of homelessness, and the need for long-term solutions.
She says this approach has successfully helped many people get into housing, and has also tackled anti-social behaviour by helping culprits with their problems and using enforcement where necessary.
