Exeter Uni exams contain errors

Hundreds of Exeter University students have had their exams disrupted by errors.

Mistakes in exam papers and the consequent announcements by invigilators led to widespread confusion.

The student newspaper Exepose reports how three separate recent exams - in biology, politics and micro-economics - were all found to have mistakes in the papers given to students.

The biology exam was repeatedly stopped by invigilators - which also disturbed Modern Languages students sitting their exam in the same hall.

Students sitting the micro-economics paper also said it was full of errors, also requiring several announcements by the invigilator.

And the politics exam contained a question similar to one the students had already answered in coursework, leading to further confusion.

The university has said this kind of issue occurs very rarely and any students with concerns can talk directly to their college.
