Toby Carvery to pay compensation to Exeter norovirus sufferers

The Exeter Arms on Rydon Lane was closed following an outbreak last April.

The owners of the restaurant, where hundreds of people fell ill with the norovirus, will have to pay more more than half a million pounds in compensation.

Solicitors Irwin Mitchell say this case is the biggest one they've dealt with and it shows the impact that gastric illness can have on people, when hygiene standards are not up to scratch.
