Artificial arm incident provokes safety review at Flybe

Additional safety checks have been brought in at the Exeter-based airline Flybe - after a pilot's artificial arm came off while he was landing one of its planes.

It's emerged that the plane bounced onto the runway during windy conditions at Belfast City Airport in February.

Flybe says it's 'proud' to be an 'equal opportunities employer'.
