Budleigh Music Festival

On the first evening of the 20th annual Budleigh Music Festival international saxophone sensation Jess Gillam joins forces with the Band of HM Royal Marines Plymouth and their Music Director Major Ian Davis for a performance of John Williams’ Escapades – the rarely heard jazz-inspired saxophone concerto using tunes from the Steven Spielberg movie Catch Me if You Can. In addition the band is joined by their troupe of bugles and drums. Expect a high energy entertaining evening of the very best wind band repertoire including movie soundtracks, songs, marches as well as perfectly pressed uniforms, polished leather and incredible visual and musical precision.
