St David's Players are keen to promote our next production and are available for radio interview and discussion during the first week(s) of October 2022
Following on from the hugely successful production of The Grand Duke in 2019, St David's Players are delighted to be setting sail in 2022 on HMS Pinafore, which promises to be an explosion of colour, fun and creativity as we bring this Swinging Sixties version onto the Exeter Barnfield Theatre stage.
HMS Pinafore is a story of young love, taking place on a warship docked at Plymouth. The captain’s daughter and a humble seaman are drawn close together, but will society and social class force them apart?
In a story told with memorable music and witty dialogue, this story promises to bring humor, sadness, and toe-tapping tunes.
Gilbert and Sullivan’s fourth collaboration and first ‘big hit’, HMS Pinafore (or The Lass That Loved a Sailor) is jam-packed with infectiously catchy tunes, wonderful libretto, and a fantastically funny plot.
The show runs from Tuesday 11th to Saturday 15th October 2022, nightly at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £18 for the Tuesday evening and Saturday matinee; all other performances are priced at £19. Concessions available on these evenings for over 60s and students. Children £10 for all performances.

Please note that this production is staged at the Exeter Barnfield Theatre, which is now managed by the Exeter Northcott Theatre.
Through this production, St David's Players will be supporting the British Red Cross. There will be a raffle at every performance in aid of the charity and £1 from every ticket sold on Wednesday evening will be donated to the British Red Cross.
