More Information (Radio Exe is not responsible for external websites)
Local historian and researcher, Tom Fairless, has been uncovering a huge amount of information, facts and anecdotes about the former mental hospital that was built in Digby in the later 1800's. Funded by a ward grant from Exeter City Council, the research has been transformed into a photographic exhibition along with documents, plans and other treasures found along the way. Come along to find out more, share your stories if you have any, and have a tour of the former superintendent's residence, Digby House, now occupied by the charity the South West MS Therapy Centre. Free to attend. Light refreshments provided (donations welcomed). Limited parking available, but the venue is close to Digby & Sowton train station (8 mins walk) and local bus services.
