FRIDAY 2nd May in Great Torrington Square as part of the town's Mayfair celebrations, Torrington Amatueur Athletics Club are holding the annual Round The Tree race.
A challenging multi terrain run from Torrington Square to Taddiport and back again, taking in the views over the River Torridge valley.
Discounts for local school aged children, prizes for winning runners per category and medals for finishers.
Registration is on the day from 5.30pm, childrens race sets off at 6.45pm and senior women's and men's after. Fancy dress and teams are encouraged.
