Could you volunteer at Exmouth lifeboat station?
Exmouth lifeboat station is recruiting additional visitor guides to join a small team of dedicated volunteers providing free tours for the public. The state-of-the-art boathouse on Queens Drive houses a Shannon class and a D class lifeboat.
Tours take place on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year and at other times for organised groups, who book a dedicated tour through the Exmouth lifeboat website.Lifeboat Visits Officer, Bill Lodge, would now like to hear from members of the community who would like to become involved.
Bill says: "We hope to attract people who are enthusiastic and have good communication skills, who are confident to deliver short talks to a diverse group of visitors, throughout the year.
"Training will be provided and we would like prospective visitor guides to volunteer for a minimum of 2 shifts per month, normally at weekends."
For more details please email Bill Lodge at visits@exmouthlifeboat.org.uk. The annual Open Day is on Sunday 26 August 10am to 4pm.
