Exeter Chiefs' centre scores two tries in Six Nations opener
Exeter talent Henry Slade was awarded the 'Fans Player Man of The Match' this afternoon for his outstanding performance against Ireland in the Six Nations.
The 25-year-old scored two tries as England won their opening game in the completion 32-20. His Exeter teammate Jack Nowell started the match whilst Luke Cowan-Dickie and Harry Williams featured from the bench.
Speaking after the thrilling encounter, Slade said: "It's a great feeling to get a win, Ireland are a top side. Credit to the boys who put in a big shift. We're really please to get the victory.
"We knew exactly how we wanted to play and executed it perfectly. It was really enjoyable playing."
England head coach Eddie Jones said Slade's performance was "outstanding," and labels him a "good player."
