Exeter Chiefs' fly-half could be banned
European Rugby has received a citing complaint against Exeter Chiefs' Joe Simmonds.
The 23-year-old is alleged to have committed a dangerous tackle in the Champions Cup game against La Rochelle last Saturday - a game Exeter won 33-14.
Simmonds tackled the La Rochelle winger, Kini Murimurivalu, in a dangerous manner in the 16th minute of the match.
Penalties for a low-end dangerous tackle can start at a two-week ban - the more serious tackles can see a player banned from 10 weeks to a year.
