City manger Matt Taylor is delighted at signing Nicky Law from Bradford

Nicky Law, who made 43 appearances for Bradford City last season, began his career with Sheffield United and spent time on loan with Yeovil Town and Bradford. He then went on to amass well over 50 appearances for Rotherham United before moving to Scotland to join Motherwell. A couple of years there then saw him make the move to Scottish giants Rangers, where he won the 2015/16 Scottish Championship.

City boss Matt Taylor says: “He is a good player, a League One player. He’s going to be a very good player for us going forward.

“He has signed a long-term contract, so I see him playing a big part in terms of our progression as a club over the next couple of years. Nicky has vast experience and he hasn’t missed many games through injury. He’s someone I can rely on, a good character, and I can trust him.

“He is technically very good and positionally he is excellent as well. He will provide us with a bit of an attacking threat, he could play in the centre of midfield, he could play left, or he could play right.

“I’d like to think his best years are ahead of him. The way we are going to train here we will give him a real impetus in terms of his game going forward. He has made a big commitment with his family. He is moving down with his partner and child so I’m delighted that he has invested in the club and the area.”
