It happened in a South Brent field in the early hours of Sunday (6th October)
Totnes Police say this is the only photo they can share, after animals were left for the night with "much of their insides ripped out".
It's thought 2 dogs were involved in the attack at some point between midnight on Saturday (5th October) and 2am on Sunday (6th October).
4 sheep, including 2 lambs had to be shot, which officers say was "deeply distressing" for the farmer.
