Appeal to find Good Samaritan

Woman tended to man hit by van in Totnes

Police investigating a road traffic collision on Coronation Road, Totnes, which left a man with serious injuries, are appealing for a woman who helped at the scene to get in touch with them.

A white Ford Transit van collided with a pedestrian at 6.15pm last Saturday.

The pedestrian, a man in his twenties, has potentially life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Tina Green, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are especially interested in speaking to a woman who assisted the casualty at the scene.

“She is described as a white female, around 5ft 9in with long, dark blonde curly hair and aged around 40-50 years. She may have been called Amanda.”

The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out at the scene and was reopened at around 2.50am, on Sunday 12 November.

If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police via website here or by calling 101 quoting log 643 of 11 November.
