And then there were five.
Slowly over the past few months, giant cruise ships have trundled towards the Devon coast and parked up. It's attracted sightseers from both shore and sea, as pleasure craft have spotted a gap in the market for boat trips to the boats.
Queen Mary 2, the country's second-largest cruise ship, is the biggest attraction. The luxury Cunard liner towers over four other ships in Lyme Bay right now, and the others aren't exactly riddlers.
Cruise operator P&O has two vessels off Torbay; the Ventura and Azura. Both occasionally make a voyage to Southampton, to keep engines fresh and, presumably, the crews, which can be up to a hundred strong even in these times when no passengers are allowed, on their toes too.
MS Volendam, owned by Holland America Line, arrived this week to join its shipmate Westerdam. Normally plying routes out of the South Pacific, the Volendam now enjoys the benefits of mooring off Devon, after making a cross-Atlantic crossing from the Bahamas.
Frigate HMS Lancaster has also been in the area, but was underway heading south-west on Thursday morning.
