He was reportedly in possession of a knife
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, after police negotiators were called to an address in Newton Abbot yesterday afternoon [27 November].
It’s following reports of concern for the welfare of the man in a property on Queensway at around 4.30pm.
Officers say he was reportedly in possession of a knife and was eventually detained just under 4 hours later. The 38 year-old remains in custody.
Police added that the other occupants of the address were safely with officers during the incident.
