Man and woman remain in hospital
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, following an alleged stabbing in Newton Abbot.
Police were called to Highweek Street, in the town, at 00.10am on Monday 4 May, following a report of an altercation involving a group of people where two people were assaulted with a bladed weapon.
Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 27-year-old local man remains in custody at this time.
Two scene guards remain in place in the town as the investigation is ongoing.
Investigating Detectives are appealing for anyone with information which may assist police, who have not already been spoken to, to please get in touch.
