Balloons show height of proposed student blocks

Objectors to more than 13 hundred new student flats planned for land in Exeter’s Pennsylvania area have been able to see just how high the proposed blocks will be today.

Exeter City Council has asked the University to raise five balloons to the heights of the various buildings to give an idea of how they’ll affect the landscape and skyline.

More than a hundred local residents have objected to the blocks in the East Park area, one of which could be up to 12 storeys high.
