Bus 54 will take passengers from Royal Parade
The number 54 ‘beach bus’ to Bovisand is back this year so get your cossies and flip flops at the ready.
The summer service begins on Saturday, May 23 with six bus journeys each way throughout the day starting from Plymouth’s Royal Parade (stop A10) at 9.40am and the last bus back at 6.45pm.
It will run during half term week until Sunday, May 31 and then fire up again from Saturday July 25 until Sunday September 6.
Stagecoach South West operate the bus and it is financially supported by Plymouth City Council.
The council said the timetable has been slightly revised this year “ to improve reliability”.

Passengers can use the service to enjoy a day out at the beach or take walks along the South West Coast Path.
