The Right Reverend Sarah Mullally is to become the new Bishop of London - which is the third most senior figure, behind the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
She will be installed at St Paul’s Cathedral later in the new year.
In a former career, Bishop Sarah was the chief nursing officer at the Department of Health.
