Two missing. Two in hospital
A boat has capsized on a Devon lake, leading to two people being taken to hospital and two more people reported missing.
Emergency services were called to an activity centre at around 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday to Roadford Lake in Lewdown, near the town, following reports that a boat had capsized in the water.
Three people were safely recovered from the water and have been checked over by paramedics at the scene.
The condition of the two people taken to Derriford Hospital is not yet known.
Next-of-kin have been informed.
A number of people were reported to have been on the boat at the time, all adults believed to be Devon residents.
Multiple agencies attended the rescue operation, including police, fire, ambulance, the air ambulance, coastguard and search and rescue teams.
The boat is being secured and the scene is being managed by police.
