Police not treating as suspicious
Police were called to Harpford, near Sidmouth yesterday at around 3.20pm (Tuesday 12th December) after a member of the public saw a body in the river.
Emergency services including, ambulance and fire service found the body nearby at around 5pm.
Officers say the man was in his 80s and from the Sidmouth area. His next of kin have been told.
This death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
