21-year-old man's death not suspicious
A man has died after entering the River Exe in the early hours of Wednesday morning
Specialist water rescue teams from Exmouth and Bridgewater were called to the Quay at around 1am to reports of someone in the river - but after a couple of hours the search was called off. The fire service said it had been inconclusive.
However, it's now been confirmed that police divers recovered the body of a 21-year-old man. It's not 24-year-old Dex Johnston, who went missing on Sunday.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner. The dead man's next of kin have been informed.
