Boy seriously hurt in Honiton crash

Three others injured

Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-car collision in Honiton which left four people injured.

Emergency services were called at 3.10 p.m. on Friday 6 May following the crash between a green Toyota Hilux and a black Vauxhall Corsa on the A30 at Monkton.

The driver and a passenger in the Corsa, both women in their thirties, were slightly hurt. Two children in the car were also injured.

A teenage boy was seriously injured and taken to Derriford Hospital; a younger boy was also taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary with chest injuries, not believed serious.

The male driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

South West Ambulance Service, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, and Highways, also attended the incident.

The A30 was closed for six hours to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles.
