There are plans to turn Budleigh's community hospital into a community health and well being hub when its in-patient beds are transferred to Exmouth hospital.
The hospital's League of Friends is working with the NHS on the project and wants to involve the local community.
The plan is to keep running the Budleigh site as a day hospital and to offer extra physiotherapy, hospice services and audiology - along with clinics for elderly patients, a respite centre and services run by Age Concern and the Alzheimers Society.
The League of Friends is holding a public event later this month to get the community involved.
