A bonfire got out of control
A number of buildings and a vehicle in a rural area of East Devon near Combe Raleigh have been destroyed in a fire after a bonfire got out of control.
One fire engine from Honiton was initially mobilised, however control mobilised a second pump from Honiton due to the amount of calls.
On arrival crews confirmed there was one LPG cylinder well alight along with one vehicle and some out buildings. They requested a water bowser to help relay water to the incident which came from Danes castle. A Hazardous materials officer was also mobilised due to a LPG cylinder being involved
Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a water wall, one safety jet, small tools and a light portable pump to tackle and extinguish the fire. There was one workshop and one vehicle 100% damaged by the fire.
No-one was reported injured.
