Three people injured
Three people have been injured after a car crashed into a building at Torbay Hospital.
Emergency services were called to the incident at one of the hospitals temporary buildings just before 11am this morning [Wednesday 27 November].
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 10.47am today reporting that a vehicle had collided with a cabin at Torbay Hospital, Torquay and there were reports of people trapped. Four crews from Torquay and Paignton fire stations were dispatched.
"On arrival the driver was already free and clear but two people were trapped under the car. Crews have lifted the vehicle and both casualties are now clear and being assessed by the ambulance service. Crews are still in attendance to assist partners and to ensure the scene is safe."
The hospital remains open, police have confirmed.
