Another person injured too
A child is seriously injured following a collision involving a car and a lorry on the A30 eastbound near Whiddon Down on Sunday lunchtime.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident around 12.20pm in which initially at least one person was trapped within the car.
Two fire engines from Okehampton station one from Chagford station attended, along with police, South West Ambulance and the Devon Air Ambulance.
Fire crews say two casualties were out of the vehicles before they got there, whilst they had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to free the person who was trapped. One casualty was taken to hospital via land ambulance and one by air ambulance.
The road was closed for some time for a forensic examination to take place.
