A summary of Devon's election map.
Devon’s political map is completely different this weekend to last.
Anyone who thought this would be a repeat of last year, when not much changed anywhere, hasn’t been looking at the electoral tea-leaves.
The county’s attracted national coverage because of the changes.
Plymouth turning red at the expense of the Tories, who’ve spent a year or more fighting among themselves and then chopping down trees in the middle of the night.
If the Conservatives were wounded there, in Mid Devon they were eviscerated.
Two months after losing his cabinet, their party leader lost his seat.
Another Tory leader, possibly dreaming he’d be council leader by now, was unseated in East Devon.
Most of the upside has gone to Liberal Democrats, who are now in charge in North, Mid and West Devon; and Torridge - and have a foothold in East Devon.
But – against the national and county trend, the Lib Dems contrived to lose Torbay, where they were in coalition with the independents.
