A shortage of funding for looking after Exeter's parks has prompted the city council to invite local community groups to take over their running.
An initial meeting's taking place this evening with organisations who might want to manage, or even buy, their neighbourhood parkland.
The council says it's acting now to try and prevent the parks falling into neglect in the longer term.
