Concern over NHS prioritisation plans

Grave concerns are being expressed about the local NHS's plans to suspend some treatments, where the prognosis for recovery is poor.

The Clinical Commissioning Group says it has to prioritise its services, to address a predicted 14.5 million pound deficit.

But Devon Senior Voice - which represents over-50s - says that's not ethically justifiable, and effectively denies treatment to patients who need it.
