East Devon District Council's cabinet meet to talk about the escalating costs of redeveloping Exmouth seafront.
The budget has doubled from one and a half million pounds to more than three million.
Yesterday they said the majority of the increase could have been avoided and suggested it was down to legal delays that were unnecessary. Local people and traders had objected to the plans.
They've said those legal costs were just under four hundred thousand pounds, but they haven't told us what the extra million pounds is for.
