Concerns are being raised that 20-miles-an-hour zones in Exeter aren't being enforced at the moment.
The city councillor for Mincinglake, Ian Martin, says he's heard from police sources that there are internal discussions at Middlemoor on how best to supervise the policing of the zones.
It means that currently no officers are going out with radar guns to check whether drivers are breaking the speed limit.
