The Secretary of State for communities has been contacted by Independent councillors in East Devon... who're calling for a decision on two major planning applications to be deferred
It follows the allegations earlier this month that the Conservative councillor for Feniton and Buckerell, Graham Brown, was using his position to help developers win planning permission, in his other role as a paid planning consultant.
He resigned as a councillor as a result... but maintains that he's done nothing wrong.
The independent councillors say two applications for large housing developments in Feniton - due for a decision early next month - should NOT be determined yet.
They've written to Eric Pickles urging him to ask East Devon District Council to remove them from the agenda until any necessary investigations have been completed.
