There are calls for Exeter city council to re-think its plans for a new leisure centre and bus station, after it was revealed the cost is soaring to nearly 40 million pounds.
It was originally estimated at 20 million, when the project was launched three years ago.
The council is blaming various factors, including the economic uncertainly over Brexit, for the steep increase, which councillors will be asked to approve next week.
