Lloyds Bank has confirmed that its branch in Colyton is to close, to the disappointment of local residents.
East Devon district council has condemned the decision, saying Lloyds have left many questions unanswered in their communications.
They say the loss of the branch will be bad for local businesses - and for elderly customers who don't use the Internet and can't switch to online banking.
