Dog walker attacked in Bideford park

She is hit in face

A woman walking her dog in a Bideford park has been assaulted in broad daylight by two other women.

The victim was allegedly attacked around 9.15am on Saturday 26 June in Old Town Park, sustaining a cut lip and bruising to her face.

Police have just released an appeal for information. They are particularly keen to speak with two female drivers who may have witnessed the assault and stopped to help the victim and wait with her until the suspects left.

One of the drivers is thought to have been driving a red or burgundy Peugeot, had dark brown/ black shoulder length hair, was possibly in her thirties and was wearing a blue and white stripe top and a white skirt.
