Drugs warning as 2 hospitalised

Police want to make sure parents are warning their children about drugs.

Police in Devon say they are getting worried about a new drug.

"Darthvader" is a mix of M-D-M-A, Ketamine and cocaine.

Officers say they've now had lots of reports of young people falling ill and unconcious after taking the pills. 2 were hospitalised in Exeter last week.

They say there is no safe dose - it's a dangerous mix of drugs and you risk your life if you take it.

Police say they've noticed a trend in the last 12 months that young people aren't drinking as much alcohol, but are trying drugs - because of the availability online.

They've issued this advice to parents:

1. Know where your child is and who they are socialising with, ensure you know how to contact them at all times.
2. Ensure children are aware of the risks of drug use and consequences seen amongst their peers.
3. Provide any intelligence to the police via 101@dc.police.uk to enable us to prosecute suppliers and safeguard those at risk of harm.
