Equipment removed from Exeter skate park

Some equipment in a popular skate park in Exeter has had to be removed because it has become unsafe

Two mini ramps at Flowerpot Skatepark were removed this week after the wooden part of the structures became rotten and dangerous. The rest of the facility remains unaffected and open to skaters.

The City Council was hoping that the ramps would last until the facility is replaced by a new concrete park in Spring next year but recent inspections meant urgent action had to be taken.

The mini ramps, which were originally installed over ten years ago, account for just less than a third of the skatepark.
