The Exe Estuary cycle trail is fully open from this weekend - at last. The final section of the route linking Turf Lock and Powerderham has cost just over one and a half million pounds. It completes the missing link.
Some minor work on the new section, which is about a mile long, won't be completed till the spring. But you can now cycle round the entire trail from Exmouth to Dawlish Warren, via Topsham and Exeter. It's part of the national cycle network.
