Exeter CAB sees an increase in people owed money from businesses that close down.

Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau says it's seeing increasing numbers of workers needing help because their former employer has shut down, owing them money.

When businesses enter insolvency proceedings, unpaid staff can claim their money through the practitioner dealing with it - but that's not the case if the company simply closes down.
The recent introduction of employment tribunal fees has made things even worse - forcing people to pay nearly 400 pounds to make a claim for money they've rightfully earned.
