Exeter Golf and Country Club has solved the problem of flying golf balls posing a danger to the residents of nearby homes.
The club was facing the prospect of having to put up a huge safety net to protect residents of a new housing development next to the golf course.
But now the course is being redesigned instead, with three holes being repositioned.
