Exeter ladies waterpolo team promoted

Presumably the horses get in later?

They move into premier league

Exeter Waterpolo Ladies waterpolo team have been promoted for the second consecutive season, and are now one in the top league in the country, along with just seven other sides.

Following a weekend of play-offs, they beat second division rivals Rotherham Metro to move into the premier division, and celebrated the final whistle by throwing coach Kamz Powell into the pool.

The promotion now sees Exeter playing top teams from Liverpool, Manchester, London Otter, and Coventry, all of which can call on players from larger catchment areas and are better funded.

The team has already had a sneak preview of Exeter's new leisure complex, St Sidwell's Point, being allowed to train in the pool.

Exeter City Council Leader Phil Bialyk welcomed the success of the team. He said: "St Sidwell's Point is there for the community and it is great to hear of the success of Exeter Waterpolo Ladies team - this is a great achievement and I couldn't be more pleased."

The ladies team is Nina Rickards (captain, goalkeeper), Madeleine Crow, Jasmin Coleman, Cameron Davidson, Jess Garad, Millie Raymond, Amy Potter, Jess Street, Nyah Tomlinson, Isabel Baker, Felicity Lamont-Tuckett, Kameron Powell (Coach), Suzie Tomlinson (team manager).
