The local NHS Trust has announced plans for the county's first Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, more support for hospital patients with mental health issues and shorter waits for counselling and psychiatry.
Helen Crossfield, director of the Exeter and Mid and East Devon Samaritans, says she's pleased the Government is recognising the need for improvements in services.
